Omar Najam is a writer, director, actor and improviser originally from San Jose, California. He studied Film and Media at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was involved in writing, directing, and creative work spanning genres, especially comedy and genre storytelling. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, performing improv with Upright Citizens Brigade and working on commercials, music videos, short films, and web-based content. Najam has contributed to a number of tabletop roleplaying game shows (TTRPG shows), including Dimension 20's A Court of Fey & Flowers, PowerPlayRPG, Banesbreak, and Saving Throw Show. He also appeared in The Legend of Zelda One-Shot: Lookout, Here We Come! special episode with Critical Role. On screen, he has acting credits including The Red Shirt Diaries (2014), and Lights (2017). His first major work was serving as the writers' assistant on Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 (2025) before being promoted to staff writer for Season 2 (2026). He has created commercials, music videos, webisodes, trailers (including those for Comic-Con), interactive online shows, podcasts, and content for genre-oriented media. He lives in Los Angeles.
